At Hello Heart, we’re proud 365/24/7. Happy Pride Month!
You may have noticed that we recently changed our profile picture on social media to a rainbow-colored heart. Just like many other progressive and inclusive companies around the world, we did this to celebrate Pride Month. We’re proud of who we are and what we do — not just during Pride Month, but every single day of the year.

Just like many other progressive and inclusive companies around the world, we did this to celebrate Pride Month. We’re proud of who we are and what we do — not just during Pride Month, but every single day of the year. This is a huge part of our shared success.
I’d like to take this opportunity to highlight some of the things that make me so proud to be part of such an amazing team and a great, supportive culture that puts people first.
At Hello Heart, you can be whoever you are. No matter who you are, where you’re from or where you’re headed: as long as you come with good intentions and want to make the world a better place, then you’re welcome here. I’m so proud of this!
Our team— including our leadership team — is 60% female, which is significantly higher than many other companies in the tech space. What’s more, members of the LGBTQ+ community are well represented throughout our organization, from junior roles to the Founders. We have people from many different ethnic backgrounds and cultures from around the world. Diversity and inclusion are built-in into our culture, which makes this a non-issue, and that’s a huge part of our secret sauce as a team. I’m so proud of this!
It’s only in an environment where diversity and inclusion are so fundamental and established, that a designer can impact our sales strategy, a developer can impact our clinical outcomes, a salesperson can impact our design strategy, a data scientist can impact our content strategy, and an analyst can impact our culture and values. All of these engagements happen every single day at Hello Heart, and as we grow our team, we will continue to work hard to ensure we keep this amazing culture. I’m so proud of this!
After meeting all of our employees at a company off-site in May (2021) - the first one in over 18 months - I’m proud of the culture we have built at Hello Heart. It’s a culture that allows you to be whoever the @!$#$ you want! You can be addressed by any pronounce you choose and nobody will blink an eye. You can tell your peers that you deal with depression and anxiety and people will hug you, want to help, and tell you they’re here for you. I’m so proud of this!
At Hello Heart, transparency is everywhere and we live and breathe our core values, including some examples here:
- Giving and receiving honest, timely feedback — and knowing that it’s always given with the best intentions.
- Caring about our work, about our users, about our clients, and about our employees.
- Passionately advocating for or against a project or feature, and then enabling the ideator to make a decision or let the data win.
- Making decisions independently, while at the same time taking responsibility and accountability.
- Openly talking about our mistakes without pointing fingers, but rather focusing on learning from them.
We don’t just talk the talk – we actually walk the walk. I’m so proud of this!
At Hello Heart, we save lives every day. Our community matters. YOU matter. I really hope the great impact we have on people’s lives will continue to grow in the coming years. In the same manner we as a company treat our team at Hello Heart, I hope that every single person reading this will accept and support everyone around them. And just as we are committed to helping our users live a better, healthier life, one step at a time, I believe that it’s the responsibility of each and every one of us to make sure the people around us feel accepted and welcomed, whoever they are. Love yourself, love others.
I’m proud of who we are - a company that allows each and every one of us to be our true selves, and then become an even better version of ourselves.
Here’s to being proud 365 days a year, 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. Happy Pride Month!
