What benefits leaders are saying
Hear from benefits leader, Jennifer Griffin at Banner Health on the magic that happens when you engage employees proactively in their heart health.
It’s never too late to engage employees in their heart health.
Meet Sharon, a heart disease survivor who enrolled in Hello Heart through her employer, the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas.
“One night, I woke up and I couldn’t move because my head was all of a sudden in this excruciating pain,” she recalls.
Using her new Hello Heart monitor, Sharon discovered her blood pressure was dangerously high. Soon after, she was in the ER getting care for a life-threatening thyroid storm. She survived, and the experience changed her life.
Now, she tracks her blood pressure with Hello Heart daily and advocates for heart disease awareness in her community. “It is a silent killer for African Americans and for Black women,” she says — so she encourages everyone to get proactive and know their risk.
