Letter from Hello Heart CEO to our members addressing the Coronavirus situation

Dear Hello Heart Member,

I am personally reaching out to you to address the current situation with the coronavirus and provide you with information that can help. Helping you to stay healthy is always our first priority at Hello Heart, and I want to assure you that we’re here to guide you, even during these uncertain times. We are here to help.

How can you take control of this situation?

You might have heard on the news that people with high blood pressure are considered to be at a higher risk for complications with coronavirus, which might be alarming. While people with high blood pressure have a higher risk for many viral diseases (like the flu), that doesn’t mean that you are in immediate risk. The Hello Heart team is here to provide a calming voice.  What can you do to take control?

  • You can monitor your blood pressure at home and send your readings to your doctor by using the Hello Heart app. If you are not in an emergency and prefer to avoid crowded places, you can discuss your results over the phone with your doctor, and decide together whether a visit is needed or not. Hello Heart allows you to do that easily from your phone. Click here to learn more about how to share your health information with your doctor from your phone.

  • You can minimize exposure to coronavirus by following the hand hygiene guidelines - washing your hands with soap and water for 20 seconds and avoiding touching your eyes, nose, or mouth with unwashed hands. If you are experiencing flu-like symptoms, contact your doctor.

What can Hello Heart help you with?

  1. We're here to support you. We've doubled our support line staff and are working hard to respond to any of your needs, whether it's helping you to log in to the app, send your Blood Pressure report from your home or work to your doctor, or use your monitor. I highly recommend you log in to the Hello Heart app and check them out!
